Data and Information

Bi-State Regional Commission is the one-stop center for data and information services in the Bi-State region (Henry, Mercer, and Rock Island Counties, Illinois, and Muscatine and Scott Counties, Iowa). Our Data Center compiles a vast array of up-to-date information related to the five-county region and the states of Illinois and Iowa. The Data Center is a federal repository for census documents and publications. A large store of information describing the socioeconomic characteristics of the Region (or any part within) is maintained. This type of data is helpful in attracting new business and assisting business expansion decisions. On-line information and services offered by the Data Center include:

Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is an annual report of the economic conditions of the Region. The report includes updated data and analysis of economic factors, a list of proposed infrastructure projects, and goals and strategies in support of economic development.

Demographics for the region, including demographic profiles, population and housing unit counts, and a Census data finder by street address.

Economy and Employment includes statistics tracked at the local level, including such as monthly employment and unemployment, MSA Industry estimates, major employers, Economic Census figures, monthly statistics from the Consumer Price Index and quarterly ACCRA Cost of Living comparisons. Bi-State Regional Commission conducts the ACCRA survey for the Quad City region.

Fact Sheets are available for the local counties and the Davenport-Moline-Rock Island Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).

Information Services Membership welcomes local businesses and non-profit agencies to join the Bi-State Regional Commission Data Center, offering many service and publication discounts.

Please contact our Data Services Planner if you require additional information about the Quad City Area. Data requests from the general public are handled on a first come, first-served basis. Please allow three to five days for a response. Thank you.
